Screening for prostate cancer could become a reality within the next five years, according the the Institute for Cancer Research. Current advances in genetics and MRI scanning could lead to a tailored screening programme. (BBC News 27 Dec 2021). This is very welcome news, not least because the National Screening Committee still reject the PSA (prostate specific antigen) test as a public screening tool.
