Researchers from Oxford BioDynamics, Imperial College and the University of East Anglia have developed a new blood test that is said to be 94% accurate in diagnosing prostate cancer (The i newspaper 11 Feb 2023).   PCaSO hopes that this test will proceed in time to national roll-out, as the current PSA test (prostate specific antigen) is a general indicator of the prostate gland’s health rather than a specific cancer identifier – although it can save lives.
