University College London Hospital has pioneered a new operation that uses electrical currents to destroy prostate cancer cells, even in difficult-to-reach tumours. At least 6 operations have already taken place as NHS day cases, successfully with few side effects. The process is known as ‘Nanoknife’ and has been stated as an amazingly simple and quick operation. The process is also very simple to teach to other surgeons (The Telegraph Online 3 January 2022). This is indeed exciting news, that PCaSO will follow closely.
